Carl,

Reference your MEC coms following the first failure to reach a JPWA, when Moak did a deal with Delta allowing Delta to proceed with operation of NWA.

I am on my phone, but you should have learned by now that I do not post without third party documentation.

So why didn't it happen Bar? You could have done it, but at the last minute you decided on allowing it to go to arbitration because it was the right thing to do? Really?

Bye Bye Narita-Manilla. Isn't that the sole reason so many 744 pilots continue to work? So they can visit their LBFM's :)

Out of curiosity what would that be other than relative seniority?

Whats the most junior 330 A and B there? Wasn't it like a 2000 and 2012 hire?

"Career Expectations" , .... you make a lot of subjective claims and color glossies to try to distract from objective data and status quo.

Hawaiian is a small carrier. If it happens the stagnation will hurt more than the integration.

I'm still thinking 330 though, they love the 330 it seems.

*That's how one guy recently said it to me, I was on the 767 three hundred E-R...

Maybe 787-9's and 787-10's?

They do love the 330 a lot, but the 330NEO talk could be a play to get Boeing to come way down on 787 prices and maybe some 773's to offset 744's. This fall should be real interesting, and not just for the SEC West!

Almost 6 years ago we began to merge, wondering what would've been had we not is like a disappointed football fan saying "if only we had stopped them on that second quarter drive, we'd won!"

Really? We don't know that, you don't know how your team would've reacted or how the other team would've reacted because it never happened.

We don't know what DAL would've done with the junior pilots in 2008 without the merger and Compass. We don't know what kind of progression we'd had with a competitor like NWA that we would have not competed against. We don't know what would've happened if another airline had combined with NWA leaving us to maybe combine with... Continental?

We don't know any of this. All I know is I was displaced out of the ER to the 88 before the SLI.

Funny thing is with the 739, it shows you that they will acquire a square peg for a round hole based on price.

There really isn't a good way to tell what they will acquire on the RFP.

Nick Marshall wins the heisman, Auburn wins first playoff. :D CAN I GET AN AMEN SHIZ?

Yesterday was an eye-opener for sure.
I think we need to face facts. Whatever we've been doing to try and preserve our international widebody jobs isn't working. Those jobs are continuing to go away despite our various contract sections and LOAs.
Now Dickson wants to "engage the association" yet again to deal with more displacements off the international fleet.

Every time we engage, we end up worse off.
Maybe its time to disengage. Instead of re-writing our contract whenever management needs something, why don't we try enforcing what we've got?

I am tired of my union being "off the table". (to quote our CEO)
We need to get back in the game.

The triggers are in the Delta PWA. I believe they are there because it is the right thing to do.

We exclude some airlines from the merger NWA got. My point is inclusion is right, exclusion is wrong.

If we acquire Hawaiian, we merge them, just as we did previous operators of non permitted aircraft.

JV's are becoming operational mergers without SLI. Frankly, it is a problem because flying is being transferred to the lower cost entity.

Don't turn this in to a NWA debate to bolster your own ego. This is a problem we face together.

You're the one that continually does this north south thing Bar. It's absolutely pathological with you. We didn't GET a merger with you. You didn't have triggers that allowed us to have one. Our PWA had merger/fragmentation language in it...as did yours.

You had to do things the way they were done because of ALPA language and NWA PWA language. Not yours.
