Of course, none of that is the point now is it. The point is that we have to file a FOIA request to obtain the submissions by the organization (ALPA) that is supposed to be representing us per our direction to them. If that was happening, we wouldn't need to file FOIA requests...we'd already know.

Carl,

At some level we do know. The Delta MEC (excuse me, Executive Board) made some very positive changes to the Training Section of our Administrative Manual which removed the MPL. ALPA's position is your relief pilot(s) should be fully capable First Officers. All of this was published through normal channels and IFALPA published on this back in September of 2013.

The ARC work is not a NPRM response period. This is very preliminary stuff and it isn't wise to report officially on "supposals" when you really don't know what's going to happen, if anything.

If there is a semi legitmate reason to waste time on web boards (as we do) it is to knock around ideas while they are still at the "supposal" stage of development. At this point I don't have the reply yet ... so yeah I posted early. But, if you are curious I would suggest you call your Rep either before or after this next MEC meeting. They are a lot better source than I.

The guys that are happy do not post about it as often as those that are getting hosed. I have been getting great schedules both before and after 117, but it is mainly a result of being relatively senior in my seat. I guess its a small consolation for being a 15 year NB FO.

Is there someplace in icrew that says when your next base month is for CQ? It always sneaks up on me since it's no longer a 12 month cycle.

Wow this is great!

Delta adds daily SLC AMS on 7ER starting May 2015

5 flights a day for two weeks ... so Hawaiian pilots can use Dutch Bus Sims for Indoc training.

Your fleet may be undergoing a bunch of initial training events, and those guys probably got all the B+C periods, that's because the IP's usually prefer those.

My fleet isn't doing much initial training, certainly not for Capts. (the incredible shrinking machine!) so both boxes are open nearly every period.

That's probably the case. Typically I've only flown B-A or A-A periods for CQ. Must be the ATL crowd getting the good deals... :D

Remember back when Virgin Atlantic and Delta swapped Lax and Atl? I think I found out why. It seems that Virgin can fly 9:30 two pilots! While we gained a longer and more expensive flight Lax-Lhr, the lost a whole crew position. Ouch.

Thanks Bar and Sailing et al. I hadn't heard anything and this floored the Capt and I. After 14 years I'm ready for a little movement.
