Perhaps rotation construction folks finally realized that 3 day trips on the 88 allow for more guys/girls to fly extra flying.....

September 3 day rotations up to 50+% as opposed to 80% 4 day trips.

Here I have sat for 3 days watching the meltdown and GS going waaaaay junior to me.....all because I have a crappy 4 day trip tomorrow, so am ineligible for a sweet GS today....or yesterday, or Thursday.....

Watching one guy go out on his 2nd....for 6 GS days so far this month! OUCH!

Staffing is just part of the problem. Crew Tracking and Crew Scheds still handle reroutes during IROPS manually on paper, completely inadaquate for an operation this size. The problems with Hotels is that we have outsourced that task to a company that can barely handle it on a normal day...

I wasn't there so I really can't comment... but I will anyway.
If a pilot needed a hotel, could not get in touch with anyone, why didn't said pilot just go get a hotel and expense it?
I can't imagine a scenario where I would sleep in the crew lounge where the company owed me a hotel. Short of no rooms available. Different story there.

It definitely shouldn't be counted as rest.

Sitting onboard my commuting flight to ATL. All boarded and 1:30 past sched departure but no pilots and the agents have no idea where they might be.

Just wait until we get our tablets. They will know exactly where everybody is. In addition to being a paper replacement, it is going to be an electronic leash.

Seems there isn't just a pilot shortage. In the famous words of Goose, "Mav, you have the number of that truck driving school we saw on TV? Truck Masters, I think it was? I think I'm gonna need that..."

If you're at VPS or PNS tell them to give me a call and I'll come out and do it for triple pay.

Default 10th and M

Do any of you pack seafood home when doing the ANC layover? 10th and M used to be the place...do they still give airline discount, or cash discount? Do they sell whole-fish-you-fillet or just pre-packed fillets?
Thx
