I would think about that.. but probably vote no. I don't think at this time PS should be on the table... unless..... but it is not sacred. Nice.. but not sacred.

So should we have keept our troops in Iraq for 2 more years maybe 5 or how about 50?

I wonder if they would hate us so much if we never invaded Iraq?

We didn't invade. We liberated the country from a dictator (that I would have turned loose when Nick Berg's head was chopped off.. but they didn't ask me). It is flat out disgusting that you used that word, and I find it insulting to those that served there. The Russians invaded Ukraine. Big difference, and it has NOTHING to do with POV...

Why don't you enlighten us?

Just a wee bit of history. Germany and Japan were both highly militaristic countries beginning with Germany's invasion of France in 1870 and Japan's war with Russia in 1905. Both countries caused death and suffering throughout the beginning of the 20th century. Japan invaded most of Asia, especially China and Korea. Germany finally gave it in 1918 with an armistice while its army was still in France.

By 1945, both countries were utterly defeated, occupied and feed only be the generosity of the US people. GIs were out on "short rats" to feed Tokyo. Neither country is militaristic today, in fact, both can best be described as "idealistic pacifists". Yes, wars change people, it just takes one side to be defeated and exhausted.

Don't use internet explorer!!
Any other browser (I use Firefox) will work great. It's free

Careful folks, I tried this site and although I may be an idiot, my mac is now infected with CTDs (computer version of STD).

A Java infection is what I think I have and I cant shake it.. All browsers are infected.

The mistake both sides of this argument are making is calling ISIS "extremist". They are not extreme. They are mainstream Islam. Everything they are doing is written in their book, the Holy Quran. There is no such thing as a "moderate Muslim." There are no denominations of Muslim. There are no differing versions of the Quran. There is no separation of church and state in Islam. There is only Islam, an all encompassing religious, political, economic, and social blueprint for how the entire world should live.

The only way to stop them is to utterly crush the and grind them into dust. No one in the West has the fortitude to wage that fight. Barring that, we should completely separate Western Civilization from Islam. Let them have their lands. If they step outside of their sandbox, destroy them.

You obviously don't know history. They've been pis5ed off since 632.

No, but I think history is fairly clear that wars don't begin because of aggression, they begin by appeasement.
