No, you ain't gettin' paid for that too! You'll get the scheduled trip guarantee, stay home, and you will LIKE IT! My question is if flying a different rotation is added to my schedule: WS, GS, swap board, IA, etc. Say it's a GS--double pay--over the exact same days. Would that be, effectively, triple pay (1x rotation guarantee for the bought trip plus 2x GS pay for the picked-up trip)? Or, would there be some sort of offset applied...? Thanks for the reply. Still looking to find the list of LCAs, too, so to be smarter about when to anticipate this sort of thing (trip buying).... PS: Oh, and, YES!!, I most definitely do like it!!! |

Besides, at your seniority, that's probably not gonna happen again anytime soon. I'm at 13+ years and I've been bought off one trip in my career. That's a senior guys game. |

I don't think there's a published list. You just have to know who they are in your category.

Yeah, I figure there won't be very many chances to actually get a trip via PBS with the LCA, especially since the 717 training machine is in such full swing. This was a trip I'd swapped for in OT--I had no idea it was with a LCA, it just worked better for my schedule (and, getting paid to stay home works WAY better for my schedule...!). |

If you are removed from the trip, you will be paid for it if you are a line holder. Once removed, it's shadow will remain on your schedule. However, as far as delta is concerned, those are now days free of duty. If you get a greenslip on those same days, you will get 2x pay for the GS and single pay for the removed rotation.
No offset. Doubt I'll get a GS, between my seniority (non-existent) & being heavy on FOs; and I've taken the advice I've seen here not to WS above the GS trigger. Sooo... enjoying an unexpected 10-day vacation! This airline **** is cool!! :D |

This airline **** is cool!! :D I would recommend that since this has beneficially happened in your favor, that you find the exact verbiage in the contract and read it so you understand the various nuances. In my experience, we (I) learn the contract best by screwing myself. It is actually rare to fall into what happened to you. Savvy LCA bidders know if there is going to be an OE on the trip, iow, they don't swap them. |
