Thanks to all of you who chimed in and answered my question. If I can do that, I'm going to bid reserve next month. The guarantee is 80 hours. It seems like the way to go with a week of vacation. Thanks again!

Speaking of which....I've got 2 weeks vacation in December, so I'm thinking I should definitely bid reserve. Something about getting more credit per reserve day during a vacation month.

I'm always worried that I'm going to burn my self somehow.

It's actually the higher value of a vacation day that makes reserve pay better (all things equal) in a vacation month.
