I can totally see how it would be very frustrating for a scheduler to waste his/her time calling people who have no intention of taking the trip. I think it's only fair that we limit our GS requests to something we are willing and able to fly.

Some at CPZ think they own the flow in their contract, and while I'm sure its in there, canceling it tomorrow would only give them an impossible to win grievance with Trans States.

The "hammer" keeping the flow alive for the grandfathered pilots is the forced reduction of larger RJ's at DCI if the flow down for DL pilots is cancelled.

The Mesaba flow was more on the altruistic side, as that was graced into a sunset over a period of time. There is no top down flow to Mesaba (or whatever they're called this week) that I can recall.

Have not tried using it, because typically one can find these MS Surface products on clearance with deep discounts.

I've little experience with the Surface 2, but have heard nothing but good things from those who have used it. I have a Pro 2 and absolutely love the thing. If nothing else, it makes a good compact Home Theater PC. In fact, used it last night to bring a neighbor's home theater to life.

For an EFB, I'd think the LTE version of the iPad Air would be hard to beat. If it is true we are ditching the Surface 2, then I hope they'll give a shot a buying those power covers. No need to carry a charger on a < 4 day.
