This is the technological hurdle that MSFT can't seem to figure out? How to do auto pushes when the devices are connected to wifi?
Something is not adding up, except that as was mentioned with the Nokia purchase and CEO changeout, MSFT seems to be less inclined to be in the tablet business than under Ballmer.

My guess is that it has more to do with DLs Precambrian IT backbone. The software engin3ers probably weren't born when that crawled out of the slime.

Before I try to call ALPA and lodge a complaint ;)

Anyone know why someone would get there 3rd GS before I get my first. The only restriction I have is 3 hours to report and it was awarded 6 hours to report?
It was some kind of verification flight that departed the TOC if that makes any difference. Not sure if those only go to "Special" individuals.

I saw that one too. If you look at the trip it says ATL to ATL. (if you were talking about yesterday)

Yes that is it. I know it was just some kind of MX verification flight, but it was worth 9 hours on paper. So I'm curious if they go out in some kind of different order than regular GS's.

Back this spring, MSFT had 300 software engineers tasked to do re writes as the Delta content couldn't be pushed.

Crickets on if that was successful.

Maybe we will get iPads if true. More likely an Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.

First heard we were getting tablets in summer 2000.

If and when they ever arrive, it will be true. Since we cannot access the internet to view hazardous weather like the private pilots in a Cessna 172, it really will be the year 2000.

Did you call scheduling and ask? They might be able to give you a hint as to what happened. If that doesn't satisfy your curiosity, call the ALPA scheduling committee 1-800-USA-ALPA and they will run it to ground for you.

It's definitely worth checking into. I found one a few months back that they processed out of order. I brought it to scheduling and ALPA's attention and learned that only the "affected pilot" is pay protected - basically the next guy in line, which may, or may not, be you. However, it's up to all of us to make sure the contract is being followed so check it out if something doesn't smell right.

I did the Staples clearance ($449) then stacked a $75 off coupon and got the 14 day price match when they lowered the price on their clearance computers again. Ended up at < $370 with a type cover included.

Call crew scheduling 1st. They can usually explain why the award went the way it did. If you don't agree or it doesn't make sense then elevate it to the next level. More than likely, there is a reason you didn't get it.

On the Rotation Parameters section of the Preference Qualifiers there is a box to check "Volunteer for Verification Flight", this might have to be selected.

If it's the trip I found for ATL88B yesterday, the rotation remarks say 'LINE CREW OK' so I don't know if the verification flight box applies, but it very well might. They're (usually) pretty good about explaining what happened with trip coverage.
