So much for my "local politics" theory..still good news for the west coast and Delta's WB footprint for the near future.

Everyone on the 320 says 'Delta' stands for 'Don't Ever Leave The Airbus'..maybe they're right?!

Hope is

Now the next step is to get a common type rating with...all Airbus equipment.

Go to training twice in your career, once as a new hire on the A319-320-321 for domestic ops, and then a quick 'differences' course for the A330-350 and International ops.

Don't think Richard's -not- looking at that possibility, long term.

Our present fleet plan is a mess and costing Delta billions per year just in manning, reroutes, dead heading, training, retraining and spare parts. Both Pilots and Mechanics. Now that Delta is making money, it's time to clean up that mess.

Boeing really dropped the ball when they didn't make the 'new' 737's just like the 75-76-777's.

But at least they will still be able to sell them to South West...

The DeltaNet is still tweaked. Something must be hard broke. Maybe the 4000th and one Surface was just too much for it to handle!

I had a heck of a time getting logged on there last night and again this morning, trying to take care of my 2015 medical benefits.

The "Open Enrollment" wasn't open!

I finally got it done, but I had to wait until everyone else logged off and went to lunch.

If he used to be a former Delta pilot, does that make him a current Delta pilot?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

You can bid it right now!

There's an open A/E right now for A330 Captains, and you can get Rosetta Stone's "How to speak French" pretty cheaply on line, go ahead and get a head start on it! :D

Repeat after me: Retard, Retard, Retard.

Yikes! Thanks for the reminder. Back to the DPMP for me. One look at the propaganda they sent me telling me what a great deal that Delta was picking up 80 percent of the costs (THEIR costs, but not 80 percent of MY costs), and that I, (insert your name here), should be so happy to have such wonderful choices. Signed, a VP whose health care costs are covered at 100% by DL. Have a nice day. Anybody seen Southwest's medical plan? Yeah, it's better.

Why is there such a difference between what the CPO offices are offering as meals for Thanksgiving. Looks like a trip to MSP is the best bet. MMMmmm Boston Market.

Because it is paid for by the CP's, not the company. The MSP CP's want to keep their jobs, if MSP gets closed, they will have to;

1. commute to DTW and
2. fly the line...

The ATL CPO's know they are secure, that's why you'll get nothing, and like it, there.

The last time I passed through the ATL about 3pm on Thanksgiving day several years ago, there were a bunch of crusts and crumbs and empty pie plates left on the big long tables that I suppose once held actual turkey sandwiches and pie.

'Twas then I knew just how much Delta appreciated me showing up for work at straight rates on a national holiday. I haven't made that mistake again.

The first Emirates delivery was scheduled for 2019. Hopefully they did a little shuffling of the deck.

Dental options

Can anyone offer any insight/experience with the dental options offered? I'm considering either the "Comprehensive" option or the DPMP dental for 2 adult soda and coffee drinkers.

Thanks in advance.
