Who cares about what a network guy says. When they pulled down our flying without an agreement for the other partners to respond in kind, Delta violated our contract. They knew it, but didn't care. DALPA knew it as well, but will not defend our language.

And no, I'm not talking about outsourcing.

That's exactly what you're talking about. You are specifically excusing management for their ignoring our contract based on their desire for profit, while Delta passengers continue to fly on non-Delta metal. That's the definition of outsourcing, and you proudly defend it as long as the decision increases corporate profits.

I'm just asking how long do you think Delta will last flying unprofitable routes?

Not one second longer than they want...regardless of any contractual "guarantees" we think we might see in our contract. Our scope is now voluntary on the part of Delta management. If they don't like it, they'll ignore it and DALPA's job is to make you feel good about it.

Not what I was alluding to, but thanks for trying. Where does it say in the contract that Delta has to operate unprofitable flights just to give us something to do?

Section 1.P. Not that it matters to you because you've inserted an unwritten clause allowing profitability to matter.

First day with the EFB, mostly like it. A couple of questions:
- How do you access the Jepps En Route Charts(with MEA's, numerical courses, Freqs, ball notes etc
- I thought I read/heard about an anti glare "add on" or something as the glare is pretty bad at times
- How do you put a Vol 1/FOM/Airway Manual in the tabs up top if you want to toggle between Jepps page and say Vol1 deicing pages?
- How do you cut/paste(or whatever) the flight plan into the EFB?

FYI, I like it more already than I thought I would

Thanks,

in DTW, there was an EFB support table where they were handing them out last week. Dunno about other bases though.

That still doesn't answer my question.

If the ONLY number that matters in that band is the 48.5%, and ALL the company ever has to do is touch that number ever so barely, then its really a permanent 48.5% as far as we have any claim to, right?

Not to the other 6 parties in the agreement. This is supposed to be a 'balanced' agreement, and AF/KL haven't abided by their end of the deal. AFAIK RA is none too pleased with that side of the pond, but couldn't do anything more about it at the time to force them to pull down flying.

Thanks,

-zoom in on charts mode..... much more detail the more you zoom, plus add things like airports, navaids, etc with toggles on right side of map.
-anti glare sheets in chief pilots office. Not really no-glare, just reduced glare
-you open the other app and split the screen running both programs simultaneously side by side, like taxi plan and deice checklist.
-best explanation is on delta net under efb section on flightops page. Lots of other great tips there as well, like put all airports for the day in alt section and you don't have to load on route section all day to have access.

I agree, EFB not perfect but quickly becomes easier to use once you do regularly.

Carl,
You are spouting out opinion and trying to pass it off as fact almost as bad as you accuse SailingFun of doing. You are just the opposite side of that coin. Feel free to have the last word though.
