Looking at the numbers it appears the fuel hedge situation is worse than we thought.
They lost $1.2 billion in the 4th quarter alone. At current prices expecting to lose another $1.2 to $1.8 billion in 2015. Could be even worse if the oil price continues to decline. Those guys lose more with the push of a button than it would cost to fund all the improvements we could possibly ask for in our contract. Puts things in perspective. |

Did I say Jumpseat? I meant Lav seat. But it doesn't do crap in Airplane Mode (like track your GPS bluetooth signal), so what's the use?? You know Airplanes are Magic, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYAq-7sOzXQ You also know there are thousands of flight operating around the world right now with many more thousands of personal electronic devices that are NOT in 'Airplane Mode', right? Yet no airplanes are falling out of the sky. (well, other than those 2 pesky Asian airplanes!) |

You don't need iCrew Max anymore, now that there is iCrew Mobile, and also, free GoGo hook up inflight to Delta Net. I was on the jumpseat of a 757 going to ATL and I was logged into iCrew. If I was on reserve, they could have put a trip on my line and I would have seen it...in flight! :D
posted from my Surface tablet at FL350 using crap talk... except icrew max is an app, is mobile an app yet? max has my sched even when out of service. flight numbers, times, crew..... wish icrew mobile had things like (reserve availability list) and (daily trip coverage) |

History of PS at Delta
2010 Profit Sharing pool $313M = 5.41% payout 2011 Profit Sharing pool $264M = 4.85% payout 2012 Profit Sharing pool $372M = 6.67% payout 2013 Profit Sharing pool $506M = 8.26% payout 2014 Profit Sharing pool $1.1B = 16.xx% payout As you can see the compensation is variable. The growth of of the payout has come via management hitting targets envisioned (to a point) from the merger and the fact the consolidation has been a powerful driver in pricing. Going forward, EVERY JV that is signed contributes to the bottom line, even when we do or do not get our fair share (in the individual pilots mind). We have a JV with Virgin Atlantic, a company that is going through a remodel that will contribute to the bottom line in the next few years and should contribute to the bottom line…profit sharing. The Delta pilots control the profit sharing payout FOR ALL DELTA EMPLOYEES. So, the PWA controls ALL money, just not the 1/3 share the pilots get. We are at the controls on this. Get educated and understand your contract and how it affects you. MC |

They took the full up version of iCrew outside the firewall. (no need to login through the portal first anymore) You can now see trip coverage and reserve availability, etc. Straight to iCrew: http://icrew.delta.com Edit: Definitely progress; but you still have to login through the portal to access TravelNet. :( |

What we should push for is, even MORE JV's! Then Delta could park even MORE widebodies, and make even MORE money! Think of how big your profit sharing check will be...after you are displaced off the 747/777/A330/767-400, down to a 737!
Awesome Sauce! |

Hmmmmm.
2013 was 2.7, so only .2 above the 2.5/20% mark 2014 was 4.5, 2.0 above the 2.5/20% mark. My rough math I came up with 18.51%. Not 16.4. We will see I guess. |
