For me to get an accurate report of all the legal issues between Seham and ALPA, I'd have to call Seham and I don't want to spend 500 an hour for that.

this might be the most cherry-picked, short-sighted obfuscation since alfaromeo's last post. let's see if we can clarify a couple of things.

turning back scope in favor of mainline growth - backed by a progressive ratio of block hours, except for the Republic cutout--say, aren't there some shiny new 100 seaters that will need a home soon? 5:15 ADG, not yet. the company got everything it wanted immediately. We have to wait several months for the money. And that's after we gave something back (13 hour long call leash) in return for something the company didn't want to begin with (CDOs) which came from...who the hell knows where. you can't make this stuff up. Rock solid negotiating. can't wait for C15. Yup, "damage." if you consider us to have competently negotiated since the merger, I just can't help you. |

Question for you, Alan. If someone had asked you 20 years ago if a 32.5% pay cut in a single contract was "doable", would you have thought it was? . |

That is a good question...let me ask you, if 20 years ago someone had predicted the events of 9/11...would you have thought it possible?
Yeah sure... 9/11 threw us for a loop. We took a 32.5% pay cut followed by another 14% pay cut (cumulative total 42%). We also lost our pension and had thousands of our jobs outsourced. Massive, unprecedented, draconian concessions. Now it's 10 years later. Delta's been out of bankruptcy (the "emergency" has been over) for 7 years. The industry's been restructured in a way that should facilitate more consistent profits and less extreme cycles. If 10 years ago someone had predicted that today our pay rates would still be sitting at a 34% pay cut in buying power with the situation our industry and our company has today... would you have thought it possible? |

Management's brainwashing is so powerful we actually have our own pilots here saying it's ok for them to get insane increases and we can't get a fraction of that. How did we fall so far? Jerry |

There is no logic with the company men. Delta executives compensation is up 300% to 700% since chapter 11 and somehow we can't get the 2004 hourly rates plus some inflation date of signing.

Jerry That's unsatisfactory with me. But as long as at least 51% of us go along with it, I don't know how it gets changed. |

So the fat cats in Mgmt who got the 300% - 700& pay raises equals how much in total salary? Maybe 100 Million total if that? Current pilot payroll is in the ball park of 2.5 Billion. Double our pay and the the company profits pretty much go away. Doublt mgmt pay and it doesn't put a dent in them. Not saying it's right but it is what it is.
