I think you hit the "nail on the head." Windows RT was a poor choice and might be the reason some people are having issues. I don't like not being able to load native Windows applications on my tablet. I think the full windows 8.1 is a much more stable platform. That being said, I've had zero issues with my Surface so far.

Did they give you guys full control over the surface, or did IT lock out some functions?

It looks like full control. The big limitation is Windows RT.

Yeah I still don't eat the benefit of that. I've had a toshiba seventeen inch screen for three years now that I use to harass you guys with that had hdmi port, big memory, great speed, etc, 300. Maybe 350. Can't recall for sure but abused and abused and barfed on and abused. And still going. Never a crash. Except yesterday. It crashed into the floor.

Still going.

One of our pilots on the other forum said his rep confirmed the DALPA contract survey was in line with the DPA polling. 90% want to keep our profit sharing.

IMO Delta will easily make $6.5 billion in 2015 after stating they will gain $2 billion due to reduced fuel costs after their hedging losses.

It is time for our MEC chairman to change the message. Management is doing a great job of setting us up for concessions. Where is our message?

IMO Delta could makes $6 TRILLION and Rady and Buzz would still think we need to make concessions.

Pretty safe to say at $6.5 billion more concessions are not needed. Time to communicate and lead.

The most recent Delta stock buy back was complete one year early again. Another round will be announced in May. How about management hits the 2004 hourly rates before the next billion dollar return to the shareholders? We have given over $15 billion. I would say that puts us ahead of the shareholders. Enough is enough.

Any chance it was the size/shape of the outlets? I've had the same problem with charging (never had to go to the lobby, but definitely the case that some outlets in my hotel room worked for my phone, etc., but not for the surface)--I figured that the large-ish size of the plug/transformer for the surface wasn't quite seating correctly in the outlets (some old, some slightly recessed, etc.).

Probably what it was.

I've had a great experience with this surface so far. Better than I have had with our iPad 2 at home. I had a iPhone for a while but the battery was awful, it cut out at 5%, then 15% and eventually 90%. I chucked it. My wife kept her beloved iPhone and didn't want to switch to a Droid but it was annoying she always needed my phone to take good pictures. And my samsung screen was massive compared to hers. She begrudgingly switched to a Samsung 5, pouted for a week, now doesn't ever want to go back.

And I don't feel like I'm dealing with that whole, oh we are not going to continue to support that product you purchased new two years ago. If you need to use any of the new apps please buy a new one for 700, or a memory limited one with a bad camera for 400.

I agree. Every day that passes without Donatelli firmly and clearly stating our position-- full restoration, QOL gains, and zero concessions--every single one of us is losing money due to reduced leverage.

What is he waiting for? Why is he unwilling or unable to take a firm, quantifiable public position clearly listing our expectations? Is he scared of RA? Is he in the bag? Is he incompetent?

Why are our dues dollars supporting Donatelli's dithering? Why does he always react? Why doesn't he control the message?

Where is the leadership?

I don't have them handy, but what were the 2004 NWA rates? I only have access to Delta's.

That is a great question. Then we can use the highest rate to compare to 2004 "restoration."

That's why you asked, right? To make sure we're using the highest 2004 rate to restore?
