My bet is that your schedule is already complete and not posted and your future schedule look back has a conflict with your swap. Just a guess. If that isn't the case, it's ALPAs fault.

Contract section 23.H.5.i

Note: During the PBS bid award process, a swap involving a rotation that contains any duty period, or portion thereof, that is within the last six days of the current bid period will not be granted.

Until the schedules are released into DBMS, we are still within the "PBS bid award process."

Pesky details. Did not use(or know about) the pairings ordered. Just listed them and ASSumed they would process in order. Not just randomly. Live and learn. Thanks guys.

I thought all trip swaps were 'frozen' from bid closure to bid awards? To prevent a swap interfering with your May award, or such. Not sure of the specifics but call 1-800-USA-ALPA tomorrow and ask for Scheduling Committee, or call Screw Kids and ask if they know why.

I thought it was just carry outs, but it looks like the other herc driver gave him his (likely correct) answer.

Well that 'splains that! I have read the contract, but I don't remember seeing that part at all.

Thanks!

The good news is no one else can take the trip. Make sure your process date is after 20 Apr and you still have a shot at the swap.

Could someone pick it up on a white slip in the 'last 6 days'? Does that rule only apply to swaps or all PCS functions; drops, swaps, white slips? In the posted verbiage above it only says swaps.
