Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Looks like CDO's have made their way to us line dogs. Check out ATL 249 on 4-12-15. Sign in 2100, fly to DAB, 6.75hr layover, DH back at 0700.
Called skeds, they said it's ok, called DALPA sked (spoke with F., used to be a Delta sked) she said it's ok. Called my Capt rep., he said contractually it's ok but Delta "agreed" not to make this kind of trip. Asked me to forward the info on the trip... we'll see.
So apparently CDO's are legal... need to re-read my contract.

I have a hard time seeing the issue with the rotation as it's described while trying to figure out how I'm going to get a little sleep before my 4:30 red eye.

DING DING DING!
This type of rotation has always been buildable, hasn't it? If they want to pay them at 10:30 vs the 7:30 that was going to be in the previous LOA, build away. A guy can get quite a bit of rest on his own time if he only works 7 days and 14 legs for a full schedule.

Looks like a perfect trip for someone who lives in DAB. Commute to ATL at 1600 ish, work to DAB, drive home. Paid 10:30 for half a day.
And it is Colombia. no U

For example, if the unaugmented duty period limit is 12 and the deadhead duty period is 13, the pilot needs 13 hours rest before his next flight duty period.
Still no schedules via back door.

This came up years ago with me. FO wanted me to call in the crew as too tired to deadhead. I told him he was gonna have to call himself in too tired.

You don't see it because this one happens to be a good deal... make a couple of changes (lga/4:59hr sit, no hotel room, wx/mx) and see if it's still ok... but heh, it pays 10:30, right?
It's not about this trip... it's about the potential of these kinds of trips.
