Jet Airways had also just recently asked to get two it's 777-300s back from Etihad. Etihad holds a 24% share in Jet Airways and has been leasing five 777-300s from Jet Airways after Jet Airways lost it's Category-1 safety rating from the FAA wich precluded flying these planes to the US...

Anybody else read the Daily Fastread from the MEC that was sent out today? I seriously thought it was a joke as I read. They talk about 2 experts that briefed the MEC earlier and specifically said:
7. Develop the ability to say yes:
· A tentative agreement is not proof that a better offer is available.
Ahhhh....I don't think there has ever been that problem here. Please call your reps and tell them otherwise. Develop the ability to say NO! A TA also doesn't mean that it's the best offer either! I want to believe in our reps but this just makes me want to bash my head against the wall.

Duder,
I thought the exact same thing! I'm not anti-DALPA, but I cringe when I hear or read this statement ("be willing to say yes to a TA"), without the follow on " . . . and don't be afraid to say "NO" if the deal is not acceptable".
I definitely feel as if we are experiencing Phase 1 of expectation management, but will keep an open mind until I see the TA.

1. Hurry
2. Hurry
3. Hurry
The only words missing are "fleeting opportunity," but they might be around the corner.
