Which rumor? There are so many!

You just work on saying Yes, and everything else will work itself out!

I just couldn't.

Do you know many lawyers or doctors? Trade sorties about your training vs. that of any US-trained physician's (~7-15 years of virtual slave labor AFTER completing college and competing/testing for the privilege) and you may decide not to compare your profession and pay rates to theirs.

That is not the usual 9-5 job, and that's without even considering the training/certificates and skills/experience required, in addition to the consequences of mistakes or poor judgement which put the responsibilities of the profession at the highest tier: those vocations that can result in death of the employee and customers, in addition to possible equipment loss (airplane) and possible property damage.
Better just ignore our active military members if we want to make a case along these lines...

We didn't get them because you can't make money with 777's. They won't "fit" into our network. At least when we fly them. Don't you know?

Exactly.

Only every other airline on the planet can make money flying 777's, but not Delta.

I'm going to look into that. It's awful. I'm not sick, but I sure sound like it, or like I was at a football game that went into 6 overtimes. Not one bit of congestion even when flying.

Also kills the notion that UAL has too many 777s to be profitable.

Of course the 773 is evidently, given the order book, pure accounting awesomeness.

I'm now good for visual approaches.

Now I wonder what caused that common sense bulletin to come up?
