Slc can be a great place for a family and a nightmare depending on where in the valley you chose to live. Do your research! I know plenty that are ostracized by neighbors for not being in the same club! The closer to downtown and park city the better.
Not really a response to your post f10, it just got me thinking. |
[QUOTE=Justdoinmyjob;1891141]They did. It's called being inducted into the Chairman's Club. Anyone who has won that award was allowed to go as a reward. Wanna know why not many line pilots ever get inducted? Because it's other line pilots who need to nominate them and none of us can be bothered to fill out the paperwork![/

Thanks! Regular line holder. I got the auto call early this am saying the trip changed. We were originally set to operate tonight but it was changed to a DH, so I'm hoping to spend one more night at home and still get paid for a 5 day even though it may turn out to be a 3-day if I leave later tomorrow instead.
Also good form to look up the other pilot and let them know you will skip the DH so they are not waiting around at the van pickup. Enjoy some bonus time! |

Not to distract from the contract politics..but I'm headed out to BOS next week for my bud's retirement from the CG after 27 years, and our classmate who just made Flag is presiding over the festivities. I'd like to bring each of them some High West Whiskey from Park City, but I plan on riding the JS (at the Captain's discretion, hopefully), and I can't find where a couple bottles would be prohibited in my bag riding the JS like they would be as a carry-on in coach.
Anybody have the gouge? Thanks in advance..CG |

You could always non rev S2 and just check a bag? Assuming there's a seat or two in the back. If you already had a bag checked as a non rev and had to flex to the JS last minute, seems like they would leave your green tagged standby bag on the jet.

Size of the pot:
When times were tough, and we were digging ourselves out with concessions, we were told that the philosophical reasoning behind constructive engagement (which I am a supporter of) was to increase the size of the pot, thereby increasing our share. Well, how's that pot looking now? Is it twice as big? Three times as big? No, it's TEN TIMES as big. Yet we are still scraping our bowls... NO MORE CONCESSIONS. |

need to pickup some new shirts, heard a cut above and landerwood are the best but another guy said landerwood fabric feels kinda cheap
anyone have good gouge on the two and which is better Landerwoods will last forever, but are cut rediculously large (shirt sleeves look like pant legs, etc) and you have to do the iron on thing for your wing protectors yourself because its an old USAir holdover thing unless they recently changed it. |

A Cut Above is by far the best, especially their stretch/no iron ones. Their non no iron ones are also good, but turn into a balled up kleenex the first time you sit down in one unless you use a lot of starch. But their fabric doesn't last as long. Don't wash in hot and line dry or dry on gentle if possible. They have the best neck liners anywhere.
