Quick scheds question. I blocked in at 2032 tonight and am trying to pick up a ws tomorrow. A trip went out as a gs tomorrow morning with a 736 report time. Should that trip have been mine? It was my understanding that you need 10 hours between duty periods. So would I have been legal for this? I figured that I'm legal starating at 702.

When was the GS assigned?
Call them up and ask. They will tell you why you were not called

Not enough info to answer the ?

There could be another illegality that kept you from being able to take it? When was the trip assigned? Before you blocked in?

You can always call scheduling and ask. I find 99 times out of 100 that they did it right and are happy to explain the why....now that 1 out of 100 is when you want to wait to make the call until after the trip reports :D That's called a "good deal" if you are the affected pilot.

Let us know if/when you figure it out. I'm always interested to hear the answer to these scenarios.

Before you call, go to swap with the pot/rules auditor and plug it in as a pick up. It may save you from hassling the scheduler. I'm amazed how often I thought I was legal, but was not.

So just to be clear, the must-haves are the Fleet Bulletins tab, the All Pilots Bulletins tab, the Mid-Cycle tab and the optional FAT tab. Is that correct? There's nothing outside of those tabs that needs to be carried?

Go to Deltanet and order a new one. Its like 10 bucks. They mail it to your house.

The issue appears to be, though, that the week I'm trying to buy into isn't available... because I'm already holding it!

Since I already "own" that week, shouldn't I be able to add up to the number of days in that week which I don't already have (again, in my case, three)? I certainly had to have a full two weeks available in which to bid the vacation in the first place!

Thanks for any pointers....

Days being purchased for the current year must show availablity. If the weeks are for next year it can't be denied. Had you put the request in prior to 1 APR they would have been awarded. Once that date past you may or may not get them.

Sorry to detour the thread. Does anyone have experience using the Clarity Aloft headset? Seems like most folks are using the Telex units but I'm really wanting to try an in-ear unit. Tired of using vice grips!

Thanks!
