How is it possible when both travelers are DAL employees on S3 passes, that the most junior employee who "kept checking with the gate agent" is in first class and the most senior employee is in coach? I guess 20 years of seniority cant match 5 weeks.....again both using s3 passes on dal connection..
Thanks Other factor that would cause that Did you check in with less than :30 prior? I've been hosed by that before and it was actually legit(much to my chagrin). .... Send to the pass travel people. That kind of B-ess is unsat. |

Buying current-year vacation
As a new hire, I have an odd number of days (11, in my case) that doesn't really fit the mold of dealing in vacation "weeks." I would like to buy three (3) days, to make it an even 14 (i.e., a "full" two weeks). When I put in the request, iCrew tells me "try again next month." The issue appears to be, though, that the week I'm trying to buy into isn't available... because I'm already holding it!
Since I already "own" that week, shouldn't I be able to add up to the number of days in that week which I don't already have (again, in my case, three)? I certainly had to have a full two weeks available in which to bid the vacation in the first place! Thanks for any pointers.... |

Deltanet->Flight Ops->Crew Resources and Scheduling->Vacation->Vacation Tip Sheet The answer might be in there, and if not the phone number for the vacation ladies is at the end of page 2. They should be able to set you up or at least tell you why it's not going through. |

I didn't realize that the seat she was waiting on was a first class seat. Whatever. Kinda BS |

In general, the Company must agree in order for you to buy additional vacation days for the current vacation year.

Quick scheds question. I blocked in at 2032 tonight and am trying to pick up a ws tomorrow. A trip went out as a gs tomorrow morning with a 736 report time. Should that trip have been mine? It was my understanding that you need 10 hours between duty periods. So would I have been legal for this? I figured that I'm legal starating at 702.
