Yeah but typically gliders have a ratio of 40:1 to 50:1 and are good for ridge running, or catching thermals off a water treatment plan and what have you.

That thing the Kc-4 is towing probably has, and mind you I have an untrained eye for this, but probably a glide ratio of 70:1. A typical glide pilot wouldn't be able to handle the truth it would be laying down.

Most certainly not. The narrow swept back wing really improves the glide ratio over the cheap wings that gliders have.
