When you deviate from deadhead, and book your company business positive space. Do you have to make sure there is an F? Or a Y? Available

Don't think it will allow you to book unless there is space available.

Coach only (except for long haul where your DH would have been FC anyway).

Remember that if its domestic and your booking is in coach 24 hrs prior you can upgrade to economy comfort. The first row of EC is almost as good as first.

Can't you also be put on the STBY list for FC although the chances are slim

I thought everyone was just giving us a hard time with the "guard nazi" stuff. Until I rode a 717 jumpseat last week. Not that the 717 catagory is any different, I just haven't witnessed it before, except for the 100 times I've called ramp in ATL on guard and been immediately informed I'm on guard. The FO on the flight I was JSing on, taxiing out of ORD informed 2 guys before takeoff and one airborne that they were on guard, I wasn't monitoring comm2 but judging by his self-satisfaction, he was very prompt. Now I finally get it. We ARE guard Nazi's.

I haven't come across FTB yet, but I've been flashing the shocker....it's only a matter of time.

Not sure if you're being lighthearted here, but you are willing to pass judgement on our entire group because of one FO?

Alright you travel gurus help me out. I thought if you are non reving, out of uniform , you have to have a non rev ticket to go through security. If you are jumpseating and you are out of uniform all you need is a ID correct? You don't need a ticket correct?

I went through Syracuse New York and they wouldn't let me go through security without a pass. I told them I am jumpseating and I cannot check in for non reving and jump seat at the same time. I had my ID with me.

I did not win. They sent me back to ticketing. Ticketing said it's too late I'll put you on the next flight to go through security and then run to the gate for the earlier flight and see if you can get on. It was a cluster buck.
