DH to FUK
 

I couldn't resist the title...

So there's a trip I'll got with a DH into FUK...long flight not wanting to wear uniform at all. I assume as a deadheader that you process through customs with the inbound crew...? So are civilian clothes ok with ID?

You might be OK with just an ID, but if I were you I would wear dark pants and being a uniform shirt and change before you go thru customs and immigration. Will make life easier.

BUT no libations if you put the uniform back on....

I've deadheaded in civies into NRT a bunch of times no problem picking up my shore pass and clearing customs/immigration

Thought I read somewhere not to display your ID at customs even in uniform unless working the flight. That might have been US customs only though.

What's the latest on flying 737s to Hawaii? I know this was in discussion a while back...but haven't heard anything for some time. I remember hearing the planned or projected date was January 2016. Is the 737 close to being ETOPS certified?

Alaska flies them there.

They sure do. It was in discussion for DAL at the school house a few months ago, but I haven't heard anything since. My guess it involves transitioning some of the ER Hawaii flying to the 737-900.
