Wrong as usual... bookings are lighter this fall as well as we are down 2 sims.

The 190 wouldn't have come until late next year--- do you try to be wrong all the time??

When it comes to booking the JS via iCrew or VRU, what takes priority? I tried booking a JS right at noon today via icrew but got a message stating someone else was in the process of booking it with VRU. I literally hit submit right at noon and got the message.

When was the first 190 scheduled to be on the line? Hard to believe it would have affected hiring any time soon.

IMO the 190s and 737s are still coming. We have seen this movie over and over and over. Although in the past the empty threats were less laughable.

Same stuff, different day.

I'm sure Delta wanted to establish a compressed training program that caters to DCI E175s to DL E190/5s transition. A week of Indoc and a week of sims? Also sure it would have had bi-directional capability.

The Parking Spot on Camp Creek offers a good discount with your ID. They are usually pretty good, just allow a little time for the shuttle, sometimes they drive around the parking lot for awhile to fill up before they head to the terminal.

I use Spot II. It's a little closer to I-285. Ask about their employee discount/frequent user card. It makes things really easy and reduces the price. They have covered parking, too. I've used it when it looks like it might hail. They always offer me a cold drink for the road.

I'm not a techie, but I believe the answer is that one does not have higher priority over the other. What happened to you happens via VRU as well, you just don't hear what interface the other pilot is using (VRU or iCrew); it just says someone else is going for (getting the JS) at the same time. I've tried quickly reattempting in hopes that the other pilot is getting the same message I just got, but I've never gotten a JS after getting the first message telling me someone else was in the process of booking it.

Who the hell can't live off min guarantee at DAL? I'm worried for that person's common sense and financial acumen.

No kidding. I'm budgeted for 70 hours at 100 bucks an hour!

Not sure what bookings have to do with the TA. The plan on the 190 was to start training in the spring much like the 717. Certainly seems to be within the 3 year contract time frame.

A month? 2 months? A year?

IMO C2012 cost us more than 1000 jobs.

Jerry, all you have to do is look at the increase in jobs verses the increase in block hours to verify jobs gained or lost. I posted numbers in the past. You also overlook that crew planning in roadshows stated they made no manning changes for contract 2012.
DALPA posted how much hiring they expected over the course of contract 2012. We will easily exceed that number. Also keep in mind that in addition to the hiring we started with a 400 to 600 pilot surplus and had 200 pilots return from furlough and mil leave.

Classes are reduced this fall due to lighter flying (light bookings driving it lower) and reduced training dept capacity. They will pick back up as normal come November (though that is right when one of the 320 sims is going down for overhaul).

Indoc class size updates... I got the chance to talk with BB yesterday (24 Jul 15) and I specifically asked him about class sizes. He said they're on track to hire about a 1000 pilots a year. The TA had "no effect" on current class sizes or near-rock hiring plans. If the E190s were purchased, he said class sizes would have gone up slightly in Sep of 2016, but that's it.

Expect 20-25 flow throughs each month and off-the-street (OTS) hires holding class sizes around 30 until September where they'll go up to about "40'ish" and hold there for quite some time. Delta front loaded their large class sizes in the winter and plans to do that for CY16. So, seemed like very good news.

He did ask me about the wait time from the end of Indoc to training start (20 days for me... Low SSN), so I do know that's in his cross check as well.
