On another note, can spouses park in the non-rev parking lot, or do they have to have a emp ID?

No way Jose!

Need an ID to get in, and an ID to ride the short bus too!

Like FTB said, there's no spots available, and where do you get off thinking there'll be any available nonrev seats??????

Park n spot is the way to go... with delta id.

Is there a deal at the park-n-spot with our Big D ID? I got hosed by the lack of spots in the non rev lot today.

The Parking Spot on Camp Creek offers a good discount with your ID. They are usually pretty good, just allow a little time for the shuttle, sometimes they drive around the parking lot for awhile to fill up before they head to the terminal.

Sailing

When they thought the TA would pass, the June monthly update stated hiring at 50/month.

Now the hiring is 110-120/month since their concessions did not pass.

Do they need more pilots or less?

Jerry

Where are you seeing 110-120? The last classes have been 25-30 for a total of 50-55/month since July. As a poolie, I would love for your statement to be correct!

Jerry did you read the update from the director of flying. They have posted several times why the summer hiring was slowed. I am still waiting for the massive job loss from contract 2012 you predicted to show up. It's not hard to look at block hours verses pilots.

DAL Poolie Letter

A letter went out to our poolies last week saying that they can anticipate starting class later than expected, said something to the affect of sim capability. The letter still stated they are planning on hiring 800-900 for the year.

Is this problem a training thru put issue? What sims have gone down over the last 6 months that would have created a backlog of training?

Is this problem a TA issue? I hope our company isn't playing with new hires and their timelines based on our TA. (Don't pull a UPS with new hires)

It's a TA issue only because they won't need to staff for the E190. The posted yearly numbers did not include that airframe so will stay in the 800 to 900 range.

Let's see. You all promised instant hiring with C2012. How long did we wait??

A month? 2 months? A year?

IMO C2012 cost us more than 1000 jobs.

Several pilots have heard 110/120 per month now that the concessions were rejected. Time will tell.

When was the first 190 scheduled to be on the line? Hard to believe it would have affected hiring any time soon.

IMO the 190s and 737s are still coming. We have seen this movie over and over and over. Although in the past the empty threats were less laughable.

Same stuff, different day.
