Curious now... Why was it grieved or moved? Seemed like a good location unless the lav was a problem.

The company wanted to cram more seats into the cabin and needed to move the galley wall over to where the crew rest was, right behind the cockpit.

Quick reserve question. If you hit the reserve ALV are you automatically released for the month? If so, do you have to call scheduling to put a designation on your line or do they just stop calling you?

Thanks

What Timbo said.

If you are at or over the reserve guarantee for the month an don't want to fly, I'd call up CS and and tell them. They do not automatically count those as off days. I would not GS over them unless all you want is single pay without the "day off" becoming a payback day. (You are technically still on reserve, they just cannot use you)

Once you hit reserve guarantee (not all ALVs equal reserve guarantees) you are no longer required to be on LC or SC for the rest of the month. You'll see FULL somewhere on your schedule. They will stop calling you..nothing needs to be done on your part.

You can still pick up time up to ALV + 15.

Default Standby ticket help!

Hey guys, I'm looking for a little help.... I have purchased full fare tickets as part of a travel package that has my family leaving Cancun at 7:30 tonight. There are flights leaving earlier with open seats that we would rather be on.... Anyone see a way around paying the standby ticket fee?? Nonrev charge would run me $270.00... Any help???? Thx!

You can pay a change fee at the airport and go earlier. I have been on real tickets twice recently and the agents would not waive the fee. Maybe use some whiteout on the P on your ID might get a better result!

Sched/PCS gurus....

Picked up my first WS today (noob here)... it fit the mold perfectly but it IS a Spill trip into Feb. Can scheduling add any flying onto a Spill trip if it's a WS? And if they do (which is what i DONT want), is there any GS pay associated with it?

Welcome aboard! Yes, all spillover trips are subject to change. However, that change occurs when the following months bid packages are released on the 4th. Your trip will not change in Feb. FYI, if you had a trip change, you are guaranteed all pay for the current month, but any reduction to pay in the following month is not pay-protected. And any changes that add days/time are straight pay, not premium.

I think the only time you need to worry is if your spillover trip is changed when the next month's bid package is published, and that's already happened for Feb.

You can always be rerouted, it's as likely to be a good deal as a bad deal. If you're extended enough, it will trigger premium pay. And if you're a lineholder in Feb and the reroute makes you illegal for your first trip, you are pay protected.
