I prefer the PBS Desktop application. It basically downloads the bid package to your computer and you can very quickly and efficiently sort through the bid package. You can minimize it and it will run in the background from the time you download the months bid package until the bids close.

It mostly mimics the regular PBS but has slightly different functionality and capabilities. The best part is no delays while your requests travel the inter-webs back and forth to the Commodore 64 processor that runs the regular PBS.

It can be downloaded from the PBS setting page via the regular PBS on the DELTANET.

Isn't there a reason CHECK IN closes 30 prior. Tried to look in the non rev guide. It says they may start seating non revs 30 prior. Aka after everyone's checked in. Another guy too with a 1980s seniority number was flipping out. Not right!!!

That doesn't sound quite right. One way to avoid this is to check in on your phone/computer if you know that you will not be at the gate until just prior to push-back. You can check in up to 24 hours prior.

When the gate agent clears non-revs you will be given a seat based on your seniority and priority. Then as long as you arrive at the gate NLT 10-15 minutes prior to push-back you should be good to good.

As an S3b non rev, (just before the fresh fruit and flowers) the agents generally do a good job. I non rev about eight times a month. The one thing is, you gots to be on the list that shows on the TV, if not, you are at the agents mercy. Most will try to squeeze you in, some will not.

I'm about to finish OE. Due to PBs, I have a block of reserve coming up that is one day long. I've tried to move it, but no dice on md88B.
My fear is I get tagged for short call, and have to fly in the day prior for 1 freaking day.
Do I have a chance at long call? Any advice?

Don't worry about it. They'll give you a turn or fly you into days off. The chances of sitting SC are slim given the manning.

Bid for a GS that doesn't cover that day. Get extra $$ and your PB days.

It would be cool to say your first Delta trip after OE was a GS.
