Well I was entertained when I did the Surface buyback survey. The lowest price being $100 and going up from there. I was looking for the $20-$30 range, maybe the page didn't correctly load all the choices. I was hoping to get it as a backup anchor for the boat.

Alaska gets their iPads for $50, at least a few years ago.

Not necessarily true. (highlighted). The rest of the post is absolutely correct. Non-rev is definitely not the deal it once was.

In fact, one thing I will give up for a better contract is 6 of my buddy passes. Keep a few for an emergency, which is absolutely all they are good for other than ultra short range travel.

That will be my "give" for the new contract.

Assuming I don't get kicked out of my seat, I will have paid $169 for my family of 4 to fly round trip from Atl to Chicago and back with a small detour in GRR. Free is better, but I can't complain too much. The best part is I'm done for the month, so no stress about getting home for work. I'd be very leery about nonrevving if I had work commitments.

You must go very early in the morning or you are wasting your time. On the interesting side, I hear lots of failure stories on the "L." that time of day.

Absolutely true. PRASM may be down but we are at an all time high for our domestic premium. We may not be exceeding last years PRASM and are trying to turn that around but we are charging 10-15% more than the rest of the airlines and still filling up our seats.

Care to post the numbers for JFK-LHR? Most of the ones I have flown are not full, but we are making great $$ there. I don't really care to argue this because the point is that LF is not necessarily an indicator of profit on all routes/flights.

Then please don't assume that a post regarding generally full flights equals more profit (which is more often true than not) applies to every route/flight. I helping the guy see why MikeF16 mentioned profit.

I've been on the 73N for roughly 18 months. I can say with a straight face that the LF I've seen is well over 90%.

JFK-LHR isn't full because we sell a premium product on our other airline. The ticket revenue for that city pair has actually improved greatly since we bought Virgin Atlantic.
