International biz class gets you into the Sky Club, but realistically they rarely give out the non-rev seats until boarding starts.

You can buy a one day pass. Too lazy to go look it up, but I seem to remember, maybe $50?

Clearly the time to enjoy Sky Club benefits for free is on an overwater DH, deviation or otherwise. Good reason to arrange early transportation to the airport, for the highly-motivated. It's the aviation equivalent of Caddy Day at Bushwood!

Got a week of vacation in august and want to non rev to the caribbean somewhere with the fam. There are five of us so it may be tough to go to any particular place. I'm looking to book something that will refund if we are bumped. Is perx my best option? Any rec's for resorts in aruba(ideally where we'd like to go), or any dest served from JFK?

I was a deadhead from NRT-MSP and was able to use the club but that was space positive. Yes you can use the club but like others have said, as a space-a, you won't be cleared until 30 prior at best. I think you can pay for a daily membership. That might be an option since you have 6 hours to get your money back.

Go to San Juan--- no passport less hassle. I highly recommend the Embassy Suites Dorado 40 min west of the airport so probably need a car. Sometimes Perx has a good rate there. Happy Travels!
