The male FA uniforms look like a NYC doorman uniform or something from the movie Airplane. Definitely hideous. Only a flamboyant.... Nevermind.

Default trip coverage question

Looks like I was passed over for a GS. my pcs time stamp and the trip coverage time are exactly 30 mins apart. when do they pull the list to start calling for coverage? am I too late or do I have a case?

Got it. Boy it sure is an antiquated piece of software but it looks like it gets the job done. Thanks for the info!

Same thing happened to me some months back. When I called scheds they said they printed the paperwork an hour before they started assigning greens slips.

I thought they would do it real-time, as in pull the GS requests, assign a trip, pull the GS requests again, and so on.

Nope. Old school. Print the GS requests and assign trips until they're gone or move down the assignment ladder.

If your request was in prior you may have a case. Call DALPA ASAP.

They sometimes do print a list and go from that ahead of time, but that's for their convenience. AFAIK there is no provision allowing them to bypass pilots with legit requests in prior to the awards.

You definitely have a case. I just looked up the language and it says nothing about a time prior. The assumption (and we all know about assumptions) would be they did it in real time. That's what is logical. But if they pull a list 1 hr (or more?) prior, and continue to work off that, it's not something contractual. That said, I know these sked folks are working their arsses off during that thrash to cover any trip. Anything they see as making their lives easier is the best way for them (read: use the printout they ran 1 hour or more ago) is the way they are likely to go. Pilots who hawk the schedule make their lives more difficult, but to borrow an oft used line from Bond, "THAT'S NOT (OUR) PROBLEM."

Before you call CS and complain, put the trip in question in Rules Auditor on Swap With Pot page. I've been surprised several times that I wasn't legal

What's the best way to pull old rotation data (as in the actual rotation?)

Thanks.
