It is a podcast, if you like history it is incredible. His latest 4 part series is about the Pacific theater. It starts with Japanese history leading up to the war and then goes super deep on some of the naval battles in the Pacific. He does a ton of research and goes into an amazing amount of detail about some of the battles. Do a search in a podcast player for Dan Carlin or Hardcore History.

That WWI series blew my mind. They don't teach any of that in school. The conditions soldiers went through in that war makes current conflicts look like a day lounging at the beach with a margarita.

I'll second that. Great length series-style podcasts on damn near everything.
Roman Empire, Revolutions (US, French, English, Russian), World Wars, Genghis Kaaaaaaahhhhhnnnnnn..many more.
Some are free, some are paid for. Really good stuff.

I'll add a big 2 or Dan Carlin's Hardcore History. I'm about to start Supernova in the East IV and saving A Blueprint for Armageddon (23 hours over 6 podcasts) for an upcoming quarantine. You have to REALLY like history to enjoy these podcasts. Each of the Supernova in the East podcast is 4-5 hours long...but the level of detail is insane.
Well in all fairness, I actually did a lot of beach lounging on one of my last "deployments."
I just bought both 'Breed' and 'Pillow.' Which one should I read first?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Follow that up with watching "The Pacific," if you haven't already, since that mini-series is those two books plus some Manila John Basilone.
Howdy y’all:
