Great books, so eye opening,

“I am staying with my boys” will complete that trilogy of work.
great book, first hand account of Guadalcanal.

How did any of those boys come home alive...??

It is a podcast, if you like history it is incredible. His latest 4 part series is about the Pacific theater. It starts with Japanese history leading up to the war and then goes super deep on some of the naval battles in the Pacific. He does a ton of research and goes into an amazing amount of detail about some of the battles. Do a search in a podcast player for Dan Carlin or Hardcore History.

He's done well with the supernova series. The WWI was my favorite.

That WWI series blew my mind. They don't teach any of that in school. The conditions soldiers went through in that war makes current conflicts look like a day lounging at the beach with a margarita.

I'll second that. Great length series-style podcasts on damn near everything.

Roman Empire, Revolutions (US, French, English, Russian), World Wars, Genghis Kaaaaaaahhhhhnnnnnn..many more.

Some are free, some are paid for. Really good stuff.
