I actually had a CA defend the lower pay by saying that for "normal" people a week of vacation includes a weekend. And since they weren't paid for weekends, a week of vacation is really on worth 5 days pay, so it's OK for them to pay us less than a days pay. Guess we have to convince our own pilots before we can convince mgt. Couldn't convince him.

But I agree, it's a 6 hour scheduled training event with 10X the amount of 'problems' any line trip ever threw at you, and if you stub your toe, you are in hot water, so it should pay 6 hours! |

My January schedule has 12 days of vacation, 3 days of recurrent and 7 days of reserve. That's a total of 8 days off (not counting the paid vacation). That's ludicrous. The vacation isn't worth sh*t. I had 24 days off between my October and November lines.
