Guys on both sides, above & below me have 13 days off. So, my week of vacation is worth (wait for it) four days?
ALPA, Really????
Rant over.

Good, bad or ugly, that's how it has been for ages.

We don't get paid vacation at Delta. Hope we would've fixed that this time around but ... as the saying goes ...

.
Looking at the awards above and below you +/- 20 lines, they ALL had 20 or 21 days off with the same one week of vac.

.
Sounds like you need to rant less here and spend that time learning how to work PBS.

In a typical week, would you say you work 1 four day trip? So a week vacation would get you out of about one 4 day trip, so that seems accurate to me.

A week of vacation is a week, not what you usually fly in that week. It should pay 5:15 a day as should training.

I actually had a CA defend the lower pay by saying that for "normal" people a week of vacation includes a weekend. And since they weren't paid for weekends, a week of vacation is really on worth 5 days pay, so it's OK for them to pay us less than a days pay. Guess we have to convince our own pilots before we can convince mgt. Couldn't convince him.

Normal people are also home every night and most, if not all, holidays. I know...preaching to the choir!

Not only that, but a "week" for many pilots is around 4 days.

Vaca needs to pay and credit at least 5:00 a day.
