The 747 may get yet another reprieve on its death sentence scheduled for DEC.
I suspect you are spot on. There's always hope though.

I agree. The "junior" position is going to go silly senior. With the amount of time off the initial folks will get I'm guessing #2500 is junior FO

I think your response is important because if avianca would have chosen us, there would have been a lot of people complaining that there goes more of our flying. now that they have partnered with united, it's important to note I think that joint ventures are sometimes beneficial, we just have to have the right enforcements and the right ratios to protect our flying.
On the flip side Brazil is close to allowing up to 100 percent foreign ownership of its airlines so I think we really need to pay attention to that as that is where gol is

KAL like China Southern does not want us doing any of the flying across the Pacific. They want it all with Delta picking up the passengers in the US. Contrary to forum sentiment Delta management does not even want this as they make more money flying our aircraft. It remains to be seen what any agreement if reached will look like. Thank god the Pacific flying agreement Bill Bartels opposed so strongly passed.

Only if you consider a pilot with a seniority number of 3250 out of 13,500 to be "junior." 😆

I can only hope........... The longer a 747 displacement bid is put off, the better for me. Because, of course, its all about me!

Someone should call the ACLU and demand they sue for a permanent injunction banning the retirements. So many stays of execution has to be cruel and unusual punishment!

I would like to see another early out buyout. Same conditions as LOA 14-05, but for 100 747 drivers and an additional 100 others. Would save a huge cascade of training events.
