Friend of mine got a call from crew Resources yesterday about how many PIC hours he had. He had 717A on his dream sheet. 13 months with the company. Could be very big moves afoot.

Whatever they might be, it looks like we won't see them until at least Monday.

I wonder why they would want PIC time? He already has an ATP right? Is he military only? I would think it would take most former mil only types about 1.5 years on property to meet the 1000 hour 121 SIC requirement for upgrade.

And I am betting LAX717A goes over 11000.

Nah there were 56 people senior to me with a bid in for 717A and I was hired in 2010. The company always say they hire nothing but captains. I think they had to decide how many newbs they want in the left seat of the 88 and 717(probably for insurance purposes).

56 people doesn't really mean anything as some of them could have their 717A bid as their second or lower choice or those bids have qualifiers.

I'm guessing you included "all bidders" in that 56 number? I think the last I looked was Monday and there were only 18 1st pref bids in front of me (a mid 2014 hire). I'm not bidding it so I wasn't that concerned. I guess there could have been a last minute rush of bidders that I missed.
