I figured as much. Not saying you are wrong, as I believe that is probably an accepted practice - but the contract makes no mention of that. It simply defines it as: “International pay” means an hourly pay premium paid to a pilot for flight time flown in an international operation
Suppose I'll just write the rep and see what he says. It's not a lot of money but it covers the first round and the van tip.

However, you have to go to 2.A.143 which defines “International operation” as "a flight segment to or from an airport, or between airports, located outside the contiguous 48 states of the United States. Exception: A flight segment between an airport located in the mainland United States and either Canada or Alaska will not be considered an international operation."
Therefore, a flight to/from CUN is an international operation entitling you to international override and international per diem.

C'mon Phuz...you were so close but you just need to read the contract more fully/carefully. You are exactly right that 2.A.145 defines "International pay” means an hourly pay premium paid to a pilot for flight time flown in an international operation.

From looking at my PAS, I get the international pay for the hours I fly on reserve, even if I end up below guarantee.
Does anyone have the link to adjust the black-out times for ALPA's texts? Twice this week I've gotten texts at 2236 East Coast time telling me that the bids were out. Delta's CNO system has "Do Not Disturb" times.

So, two questions for the PWA gurus out there.
1. Short call pilot gets called out for a one day trip. Signs in, spend several hours, then flight cancels. What does it pay? I spent way too long staring in PWA and not finding it.
2. This one is really driving me nuts, where are payback days and partial pb days discussed? I've read it before but for the life of me can't find it now.
Thanks

Does your phone not have a Do Not Disturb feature?

2. Your best reference for these is the scheduling reference handbook put out by Dalpa.
