You have it right for the PB days and pay. As Gloopy said, it does NOT count as GS#1 in the regular line month.

Thanks Gloopy and Denny

Out of Base white slips.
Killing green slips.
Hate when that happens.

Those guys can easily see that there are no reserves left and greenies are going out. Yet they are doing it anyway.

Perfectly within the contract. But jeez.

They must be channeling their inner Snoop Dogg..

"You gotta get yours, but fool, I gotta get mine...."

In all seriousness. Does someone really white slip before looking at reserve coverage? If so, I ask you to PLEASE STOP!

We may not like it but they are exercising their contractual rights. If you don't like it, tell your reps and try to get it removed next contract cycle.

Side note: I have never OOBWSed.

Denny

I'm not saying it's you, however I've seen that some of the people screaming the loudest about guys exercising their contractual right to OOBWS are the same people that were green slipping their hinies off with guys on furlough. Also exercising their contractual right but they justified it because "guys it's a green slip".

As an update...received a nice response from the Atlanta station manager. The gate agent cleared the non-revs early (49 minutes prior) because 'there were plenty of seats'. My wife switched to the flight from a later one at D-48. Counseling/learning has occurred I am being told. Don't like how it played out, but I did get a timely response.

The only way you can get a OOB white slip is if they are out of inbase reserves unless the coverage is short notice. I guess what you are saying is out of base white slips should not be allowed?

Believe me, I hear you loud and clear.
Spent 2 years on furlough. I was lucky. Many were out for far longer.
Hated watching guys pick up open time. White, green, yellow or otherwise.

All this just proves once again that the contract is there to protect us from ourselves as much as it is to protect us from management.

And I don't even have that much of a problem with OOBWS these days.
Nobody's on furlough anymore.
Although it is a bit of a seniority "end-around".

I just wish they wouldn't do it on days when reserve coverage is negative.

I guess its possible they're not aware or just not paying attention.
Maybe some of them will read this forum and a light bulb will go on.

Again you can only get a OOB white slip if there is no reserve coverage.

We know that.

I'm saying green slips are better than white slips.
