I did the training, and was hoping for a tip. I always had "N/A" displayed instead of altitude (above the zulu time) in the blue box on the bottom right corner. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I thought I saw you're doing some beta testing which hopefully means they listen to your inputs. Perhaps you could pass this along, it is frustrating when DAL tells us "make sure you read XYZ" but then don't hotlink it. All the info we need is there on Deltanet but it is extremely burdensome finding it in a timely manner.

You get N/A in the place of the altitude when showing cloud tops. Turn on turbulence instead of cloud tops and you'll see N/A go away.

I'll try to pass that on. I think you can also submit an FCR with your input.

Hockeypilot44 is absolutely right. To add onto his post a little more, it shows N/A because the clouds are height and as such there's no profile view like the turbulence display.

This goes for anyone else reading this post, if you have future ideas or complaints about any of the apps, feel free to PM me with the feedback and I can relay them to the people running the beta testing.

Also, I found out this month. If you have vacation and bid rsv.
Your vacation days count as days on call that go towards the Chart in the PWA on how many SC you can have in the month. How does vacation days count as days on rsv? Bottom line they still get 5 SC out of you instead of 3 on a vacation rsv month. This adds 1 extra 4 day, maybe 2.

Vacation in a reserve month is ussually a good deal. Everything is pro-rated and you make more $$$. :) Once you get your schedule it will show the pro-rated number of Short calls that you may be assigned.

Use the reserve calculator to figure out exact number of X days, golden days, hours of pay etc. The reserve calculator is available in PBS - I think on the PBS info page or you just google John F Bell - the very smart guy that created the calculator has his own website that has all kinds of goodies for DAL guys including:

A flight plan translator -- with sortable NOTAMs
seniority calculator
Reserve calculator

It's like Christmas for geeks. :D

Hey guyz,

Anyone had laundry done in HNL? Got a 12 day Asia that doesn't transit NRT.

How quick/expensive is the hotel? Or, I'm assuming there is someplace around the mall

Ferd (yes I'm still alive/not retired):D

I'll PM you in a day or two when I roll through there. They do have "do it yourself laundry" in the hotel, but I'm not sure I'd leave either the washer or dryer alone with your clothes in it there. Things can disappear. Double-check the PWA on the amount you get for laundry reimbursement...it's based on time away from base. I'll let you know what I get charged when I get it back. It's just easier for me to drop it off with the hotel and let them do it...especially if you have a long layover. Those golf holes don't play themselves.

Perfect thanks, yes homie ain't sitting by a washing machine so hotel drop-off or private laundry. I have a long 50 something hour layover but it's over the 4th so I'm not sure how that will effect the time required.

I'm hoping for a private place I can drop off, head to Japan and back (3 crossings) then pick up.......sort of setting up the relay in NRT only different:D The hotel should know if there is a good place close, its a big mall after all:eek:

So...my wife is non-reving out of ATL. 2 folks junior to me AND a Buddy Pass all get cleared into Delta Comfort. My wife is sent to a back middle seat. isn't there somewhere in TravelNet I can ask for an explanation?

WhiskeyDog 06-23-2017 01:08 PM

I never post, but have seen this issue a lot. "Travel Companions ". Non DAL people on S2 passes with stupid seniority dates getting on flights. Latest was me trying to get my family of 4 to PUJ. Guy doing the obvious non rev shuffle beside us. I ask him his plans. Short story, he and his wife are on S2 "companion passes" with a 96 date. Mind you, not a DAL person with them. Real happy he made it, while my 6 year old was asking me why we didn't...

I was told there is a priority for first vs rear of aircraft, but the gate agents pretty much do what they want otherwise. IMO, they do what they want with their friends period. Keep reporting exact details to CPO. Write someone. I've written everyone for years asking for some kind of priority vs the vague guidelines we have. One of my personal experiences we checked in as S2 and were number 2/3. The person #1 changed S2 to S3 and we were now number 1&2 on the list: put on opposite sides of the jet, center seats, rear of a 757. The new number 3 got EC. Wife of a jumpseater "schmoozing" the gate agent got EC. Agent proceeded to board the jet in almost exact reverse seniority order with Buddies and S4 sitting next to each other close to front, aisle, window. Reported to CPO and pass people: I bet them the person changed to S3 and put in EC was a fellow gate agent. No takers on the bet. Nada, zip happened. Call station manager and keep complaining. Maybe eventually they will simply board us with some respect for seniority. OFG
