Guys,

Any suggestions for Manhattan Hotels and New York must sees?

Planning a trip with my 22 year old daughter.

Thanks Scoop

Google Secret Bars of NYC. There are several speakeasy's in NYC. The Campbell Apartment in Grand Central Station is amazing. Personally I like the oyster bar downstairs of GCS. Getting tickets (ahead of time) to a Comedy Club is pretty good but beware..some can be pretty profane/vulgar. If the weather is good, a boat ride around the island is great. Of course springing for Hamiliton will be a home run. The Iroquois is a great boutique hotel. Pricey but your daughter will always remember it.

Has anyone here ever rented a boat in FLL for the day? There is a place about 1/2 mile from hotel near the beach called splash water sports.

Jet Ski Rental Fort Lauderdale | Boats Rentals | Parasailing FLL

I've got 24 hrs down there coming up and this seems like a cool way to use some of it up.

Can CS try to cover a GS in base for a hour, can't get anyone in base for the GS, then they move the trip to another base to cover with a resv? They never tried out of base GS. Question is once they start trying to cover a trip with a GS can they stop without going through all the guys or gals for the GS and just move the trip to another base?

Section 23 of the PWA specifies the order in which they must cover and open time trip. It matters if its more than 12 hours or less than 12 hours from report time.
Look it up. It will help you in the future as well.

Am I wrong that the 0700 PCS run this morning should've started working the March schedule requests?

8:18 am eastern, and my PCS requests are still sitting there untouched.

A helpful user PM'd me an important consideration I wanted to share -- if you're a military retiree like me you probably won't be able to hit your 2% AGI which makes the entire per diem calculation process (along with tips, uniforms and other expenses) a waste of time and money.

Any other retirees have different results?

EDIT: and in my case for 2015, half the year on probation so didn't pay dues on half my DAL earnings.

I looked at daily trip coverage, there were a couple PCS results but certainly not the entire shebang. I have to assume schedules are so crappy that most people are trying to drop their entire schedule and the volume crashed the gerbil on the cheese wheel. ;p

EDIT: 9:19am and mine finally processed. Capped reserve days, go figure. 9 PB days turned to poop supplemental vacation...

Thanks. I'm 30% in M88B and have the worst schedule of my career. 12 straight of flying. Trying to drop my whole month as well.

The times listed in the PWA (0700, 1200 ...) are deadlines for submission. They can, and often do, start the run a bit later.
