For the 717 I bought the Teton seat cushion on Amazon.

Pros: Cheap, easily stored, self inflates
Cons: Not breathable

It's an improvement, but after a while I find it itself gets uncomfortable in its own way. So it's a matter of which discomfort you're want to choose from. Maybe I'll try going with a higher inflation level to reduce the snugness factor.

No ding on you, but ... $173 for a cushion? We're pilots. I'd rather grab some red blankets and white pillows from Economy Comfort Plus Whatever It's Called These Days.

Eh, it's memory foam. Really works well. I bought one in 1998, used it mostly on a hardwood office chair. Finally had to replace the foam this year, cost $120 for a foam replacement. I've just about decided to start lugging it on trips. Trade one pain in the ... for another one, carrying it around. I agree, B717 seats suck

A real pilot would realize the only solution is to eat more crew meals, much easier to transport that cushion. ;)

March schedules may be available thru iCrewMobile. YMMV, I'm sure things can/will change...

Any suggestions for a seat cushion for the 717?

GSeat Lite - Back Pain Relief Gel Seat Cushion

Been using this on the 73. Fits in the "laptop" zipper pocket on back of my 22" LW metal frame bag. Even comes in pink!

Except that most of the FAs on the 717 spend so much time complaining how much they hate the 717 they can't be bothered to offer the pilots anything resembling a crew meal.

Meals on 717? Are you kidding me? With 30 min turns everywhere you're lucky if you can grab $9 sandwich at the ATL kiosks. Every day is 5 legs and 10 hr layovers. So everyone above about 10000 SN should go to the ER or Bus because the Mini Dog sucks.... ;-)

Too bad you don't have S/Os like the 727 did. A really fast one could nab four meals, eat two of them, and rush the other two forward before the F/As even knew what had happened. :D

I'm pretty sure that at least 50% of leftover 1st class meals that could have been offered to me end up in some cat's belly 2-3 days later.
