Military family dental has been metlife for years, and for years I've had problems with metlife. They're right out of Erin Brockovitch, other than a basic cleaning they deny everything. Kids fillings they only cover shots not laughing gas as is commonly used for young children, metallic fillings only, and in my case they continued to charge me premiums for over 6 months after I cancelled their terrible service.

Wife just had a crown this week. Metlife is denying to pay for it. Absolute BS! Any insight, please share.

Y'all have apparently angered "Snoopy" somehow......

I had a crown put in (which fell off 3 months later, that's another story) and it was covered.

Some people who have insurance issues have had success by contacting the ALPA R&I person, Karen Browne-Fleck. If you can't get any solution from MetLife then go to her. Her email is in the "Check your check" email we just got, near the top.

She's on the ball - I emailed her about a simple issue at 9pm on a tueday, had the answer within a few minutes.

Tricare is awesome. The military dental blows though. Delta's plan (cough, cough) is better if you can believe it.

Thanks, I emailed her. I'll update if I get any traction with metlife.

I thought they were the exact same plans.

My experience with MetLife thus far is they deny everything at least once. My wife had a root canal last year. No problem. They paid up.

They did give her a hard time over a periodontic cleaning. It took a phone call to get everyone on the same page. None of our dental specialists are in network. It's gotten to the point where if they are actually in network, I question their competence.

Karen Browne-Fleck at DALPA can help you. She prefers to be contacted by email. Her response will be very fast.

Are there any Airbus guys/gals on here that have went to the ER without any prior Boeing experience? If so, what is the transition like? Almost at my 9 year mark and so far I have only caused Delta to pay for one school after newhire training. Thinking it's about time I make a move somewhere.
