I'm not going to get too excited about any rumored next gen device. I have no doubt that however wonderful a piece of hardware we get as our next EFB, Delta IT will lock it down into a useless piece of junk by the time it gets into the hands of your everyday standard line pilot.

I agree with them on this one. Doesn't make sense to blow the cash on the data cards, if we're just going to switch to a new platform. Not having data has not been deal so far.

Agreed. Used an iPad at my previous gig and that things was solid. My surface has been a complete POS. My record is 5 reboots on a 4 hour transcons. The last of which was at TOD on the Seavu...
