I don't see what the hold up is on the data cards. They are just sim cards... cross platform. They work on any tablet. In the meantime, we've got international crews sitting among the passengers in the gate area trying to pirate questionable wifi signals so they can get a flight plan, weather, and maintenance information about the flight. Every other airline has data. They do their jobs in the cockpit, like professionals, out of sight and sound and earshot of the passengers. It's been 3 years...

Yes and that is a big IF the wifi works at any particular international airport and IF the surface decides to play and actually connect and IF the speed of said WIFI is sufficient to download a flightplan during the duration of a pre-preflight. It's presently 50/50 at best.

[QUOTE=FL370esq;2421532]Probably not a true rumor. There is a famous (infamous?) tax case from 1929 (Old Colony Trust) that still holds true today. When a third party (Delta) pays a person's income tax on his behalf, the payment is income that is taxable to the employee.[/QUOTe
Idk abt who paid what. What i do know is alpa told the flight instructors to get lost when it became apparent the GA board of revenue was mounting an investigation. The official finding stated sumthing like...there was no greater issue at stake for delta pilots, so wer not going to get involved. Privately, i was informed...you *******s in the training department arent really alpa pilots. All that changed at some point and alpa spared no expense hiring AA accounting to negotiate settlement wth GA. Im sure it had nothing to do with the revalation the mec chair was claiming a FL residience.....wth a house, wife, and kids in GA. |
Pay Conversion question
I'm making the jump to the left seat in Nov.....
When does the CA payrate become effective? (i.e. start of sims, completion of OE, etc.) Thanks! |
