Cant find anything specific in section 14. Would it be by noon base time in order to be eligible for shortcall at midnight? (i know worse case, but......)

While I cannot presently provide a reference, I believe 1200 base local time is the cutoff.

In the SRH page 53 it mentions that if a reserve pilot calls in well prior to 1200 they will not be charged a sick day and immediately be placed on long call status if the underlying day was not an X day.

PBS bid question: When bids are closed, can you not see your bid for the next month in NavTech PBS? I went in to check something and I can see my Sep and Oct bids but not my Nov bid. I'm starting to wonder if I missed hitting a "submit" button and actually didn't submit my bids. Not looking forward to the suck schedule in November if I screwed the pooch on this one.

I am pretty sure that you can breathe easy. If you try to exit or log off NavBlue's site with an open, un-submitted bid, you will get a "are you sure?" sort of message. You would not have just disregarded that.

Right now the site is "locked for bid award processing." That takes a couple of days (sometimes more). I would be very surprised if you did not have a bid submitted. In any case this example highlights the importance of having a Default bid in place, in the event that you just completely overlooked the PBS bid window, were sailing around the world, etc.

Not sure...I just tried to log in to the webpage and it gives me a message that bid window is closed. I tried the webapp and it gives a siimilar pop-up that says I will have to access it in offline mode.

Never leave the PBS bid app without recording your confirmation number. I snap a pic of the screen with my phone. If you ever have a issue the first thing they ask for is your confirmation number.

I use easy bid, so I wouldn't have gotten that. I'm just hoping I didn't forget to hit the "submit all bids" button before I closed out. Thanks for the replies everyone. Never submitting a bid again without taking a screen shot of the confirmation number. Lesson learned while I'm sitting here sweating. Hopefully, I'm just brain-farting and all is well. Not looking forward to the outcome if I'm wrong.

I forgot to hit submit a couple years ago. Ever since I always print/save to PDF my last submission which contains the confirmation # and time stamp.

Sailing also makes a good point with the default bid. Its better than nothing if you space out and forget to bid.

Live dangerously, in a non holiday month (January), and let the spouse bid...with no oversight. Really adds to the excitement on the 15th of the month!

No thanks, my spouse hates me for about 5 days every month. And I never know when that 5 day stretch is approaching.:o:(
