A same day WS or a next day WS with < 12 hours notification are both proffers. The scheduling reference handbooks specifically says that a GS is NOT a proffer. If you answer, it's your, except for the usual caveats (alcohol, childcare, out of place).

So are they going to release the As and Bs at the same time?

WHat makes you say that?
I haven’t seen that before. Then again, I’ve only been here a couple years

I don't believe anything states a GS is a proffer under 12 hours. That said I just answer the phone, if I can't get there I tell them and they move on. Never once have I had any pushback. Usually they are happy you answered so they don't have to wait 10 minutes.

A green slip is NOT a proffer. If you answer the phone, it is yours. Obviously excluding reasons like alcohol etc.

This is covered in the scheduling handbook.

Why? It's still relatively early in the window for bid awards. Especially true considering the amount of coverage (unstacking) that's probably going on, due to the holidays. I expect the As today or tomorrow and the Bs 24-36 hours after that, but wouldn't be surprised if they go all the way to the 17th.

...So what I'm taking away from this "NOT a proffer" discussion is that if you don't want said GS, you tell the scheduler you just had a beer and it goes away.

Kinda like a....proffer?

Yeah, but I would also be real careful about that as well. The 2 things will get you fired are lying and stealing. I am not saying they are going to investigate a GS rejection, but if it is 11 hours till report and it is currently 9am, it could look a little funny.

I'll never forget the guy who said he had "child care issues" when called for an IA, and then the scheduler looked it up and found out he didn't have kids 😙 (No joke) He ended up having a conversation with the CP.

If you're having a beer at 9AM, you might need to talk to someone.
