The two are completely different systems and one is static and one dynamic. As I posted many times here the reserves required table should be called something else like swap drop availability. It sole function is to decide if swaps or drops are allowed based off a contractual formula. It has no bearing on PBS or desired or actual reserve Manning by the company.

Just got an award date for 7ER training. I need to get a Chinese Visa. Any info on where to look or how to go about this? Thanks!

search chinese visa in DLnet. It takes you to a CBIT link that walks you through it.

I'm having a hard time making the cognitive leap from PBS awards to swaps/drops. I don't doubt you're correct, but why would the company care whether I was awarded the XX days via PBS or I swapped to get them? On the 20th my bid to move RES days will go through and be approved, why not just award them to me in the initial bid instead of making me move days after the award?

Because if you move golden days they become regular X days and give the company more flexibility. At least that’s the paranoid point of view! (With which I’m VERY familiar!)

Golden days, that's funny. Completely opaque process where I put in a request and the random number generator gives me something I didn't ask for.
