I was just wondering if Delta still takes into consideration how long you took to finish your 4 year degree, what school you went to, and what your GPA was?

I was told that some people don’t get called because it took them 6 years to finish their bachelors. Also a guy with a GPA of 2.9 in mechanical engineering weighs more than a guy with a GPA of 3.5 in creative writing. Any truth to this?

Thanks for the help everyone!
Truth to all of that. Your key words, though, are "some people". There have been numerous exceptions to all of Delta's general hiring practices. Delta considers the whole app / whole person, and is perhaps one of very few airlines who manually review and score their applications. There is no computer screening the thousands of apps as is done elsewhere.

Thanks for the reply!

I only have 1.5 years left on my bachelors, but will focus on instructing and thus taking one or two classes a semester through instructing and flying for a regional. This would extend 1.5 years to possible 3-ish years. So I’d spend a total of 5 years on a bachelors in supervision and management. Wouldn’t want that extra year to keep me from Delta is all

The dalpa site used to have a tab where you could see your expected seniority year by year. Seems they redesigned the website and hid that link so the russians can't access it. Anybody know where they put it?

I would try to finish in 4 just to be safe and give you the highest possibility of getting hired. But I don't think it's the end of the world if you don't.

Yes, paid like a shadow bid. You were bidding in a category that you’re not qualified right?

Took six years to graduate. Degree in general studies from a medium sized state university. GPA 2.0. Still got hired at Delta. College isn’t everything.

Thank God for that. I’m just trying to have the best app possible when time comes
