Me too, sorry, that’s not how it was sold during the roadshow because I asked to clarify. If you want to make time on reserve this is actually a penalty though. 1 instead of 5:15 for any amount of flying. If you don’t want to work it really doesn’t matter.

I would have loved to have been right, but ugh... I'm in the same boat as far as asking about it during the TA ratification process. I mean, it's better than what we had, but I sure hope that was costed as to how cheap it is. I agree that an SC needs to be an hour over guarantee for the next contract.

There is a way to get the pay for sitting short call. Say the reserve guarantee is 75 hours. You fly 50 hrs on call, then sit 2 days short call, and then fly a trip worth 25 hours. You will get 77 hours pay. There are various ways to get there but you DO have to sit the short call BEFORE you become full for it to matter.

That needs to be corrected on my card, then, as the short call that would add more pay/credit was earlier in the month.

If you sat it before you got full on reserve, then yes, you need to call them. In January or February I had this exact thing happen only part of my credit was from sick leave. I got the two extra hours of pay for the short calls I pulled.

I agree 100 percent with SC being more than a credit. This is another one of those things though where it is getting the camels nose under the tent. This time it was a credit and next time it is credit it over the guarantee.

If we do go there, I could see it messing with the how the guarantees work, which may not be a bad thing.. SC and LC lines maybe?

I went back and looked at all my time cards since the new PWA. I only bid reserve a little over 1/3 of those months and I exceeded guarantee only once, the rest weren't even close. In that month I did 4 SC and got credit for all 4 and the portion that exceeded guarantee was flying credit. I can say this has never affected me, but the principle of at least something for sitting short call could be subverted by a few hours for some and that just irritates me. I'm wondering how much this impacts the group as a whole. I doubt its much but this is just one of those things that is very minor but just angers me. Just when you think you have a good handle on the PWA 3 years into it, the internet slaps you in the face. Thanks for the awareness. What's the internet equivalent of kicking the dog? :mad::(:mad:
