There are no SAQ requirements for First Officers unless they are LVP's.

So how does the PB day calculation work for a 1day GS reporting at 3 am and release at 8am?? CS told me I would only get the 9 hours and that’s it! Can that be right? This month I had 6 GS days in a row and only got 3 PB days and one partial Day in return.

There is no PB day if you're flying a GS on a RES day, only an X day. Might that be what happened?

No, just flying GSs on x-days and PB-days.

That sucks. I’d definitely ask alpa and maybe ask to have a CS supervisor explain? I’ve had to call back a couple times with the same question to get a scheduler who could speak pilot.

This is mostly correct, but for clarification, JNU requires FO SAQ training. It is, however, one time and does not require any type of currency. I want to say it's the only airport in the system though.

You only get a PB day if you have no more X days remaining in the month. I've never gotten a PB day in my entire career.

You only get to CHOOSE your PB day if you have no more X days remaining in the month. If you have X days remaining in the month your PB day is automatically assigned to your next X day but it's still a PB day.

I believe he is talking about getting released from the trip. A FO can be released from the trip if the pilot giving the SAQ is qualed in that aircraft and the scheduled FO is reasonable familiar and current in the theatre. If the FO is not familiar generally they are required to go along even though there is no currency requirement.

23.S.9.a

It’s pretty clear. Free of duty until 5pm, and then 24 hour X day begins.

Give them that reference.
Unless, there is another contractual item somewhere else but I don’t know it.
